Spinal_Kinetics_M6-L

Spinal Kinetics™ M6-L®

The M6-L® artificial disc replacement is designed to replicate the anatomic structure and biomechanical performance of a natural disc. Its innovative design incorporates an artificial nucleus to allow axial compression and a woven fibre annulus for controlled range of motion in all six degrees of freedom. The implant is comprised of a viscoelastic polymer nucleus to simulate a native nucleus. It has an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene fibre annulus for controlled motion in all planes and axes of rotation, and a viscoelastic polymer outer sheath designed to minimise tissue in-growth and debris migration. Titanium endplates with low profile dual-keel design provide the optimal acute and long term fixation. The M6-L® is available in two foot plate sizes, 27mm x 35mm and 30mm x 39mm, and 3 lordotic angles, 3°, 6°and 10°in two heights, 10mm and 12mm.

Paradigm_DSS

Paradigm DSS™ Spinal System

The DSS is a “next generation” pedicle screw based system. Making a quantum step forward from previous systems, the DSS allows for interpedicular motion, aiding in maintaining the CoR, and is more solid in translation, which contributes to stabilising the segment. This dynamic stabilisation system is a polyaxial pedicle screw system with both fusion and dynamic capabilities. The DSS provides a kinematic signature comparable to that of a normal motion segment and offers the physiologic stiffness needed to stabilise the spine as proven in both mechanical and biomechanical studies. Additional research confirms that DSS offloads the facet and posterior disc which may contribute to the reduction of adjacent segment degeneration. The use of the DSS two rod options, dynamic and fusion, also enables surgeons to treat each segment according to its pathology.
