MIS Retractor Systems
K2M Terra Nova™ Retractor System
The Terra Nova® Minimally Invasive Access System is designed to be used with the Serengeti® Minimally Invasive Retractor System. This intramuscular approach features a spine- based method of retraction and distraction. This simplified, low-profile design provides enhanced visualisation and direct access to the intervertebral space for implant insertion via a unique Retractor Distractor Blade. This low-profile Retractor Distractor Blade offers optimal distraction for implant insertion. The Terra Nova also provides the ability to maintain distraction while simultaneously serving as a fixed point to medially retract tissue and muscle.
Orthofix® ProView™ Expandable Tube
The ProView™ Expandable Retractor System is intended to aid the surgeon’s visualisation of the surgical area and allow for performance of spinal procedures such as herniated disc repair, visualisation of the circumferential decompression of the nerve roots, aiding in the removal of disc material or insertion of spinal fusion instrumentation. Expanding from a 18mm tube diameter, the ProView Expandable Retractor can move in 9 different directions in order to suit the patients anatomy. The ONYX™ instrumentation set includes manual surgical instruments that are used for general surgical approach to the spine for soft tissue and bony resection. A table attachment is indicated for use with the ProView Expandable Retractor System to rigidly attach the retractor to the surgical table.
Orthofix® ProView™ Tube
The ProView™ Tubular Retractor System is intended to aid the surgeon’s visualisation of the surgical area and allow for performance of spinal procedures such as herniated disc repair, visualisation of the circumferential decompression of the nerve roots, aiding in the removal of disc material or insertion of spinal fusion instrumentation. It is available in 18mm, 21mm and 24mm tubes in lengths of 40mm to 90mm. The ONYX™ Instrumentation Set includes manual surgical instruments that are used for general surgical approach to the spine for soft tissue and bony resection. A table attachment is indicated for use with the ProView Tubular Retractor System to rigidly attach the retractor to the surgical table.
Spine Surgical Innovations Swivel Port Retractor System
The Swivel Port retractor system is an intuitive, easy-to-use, easy-to-learn, safe and effective MIS retractor system. It provides excellent visualisation and working space through an adjustable width at the spine level and eliminates muscle creep. The Swivel Port’s ports come in both 19mm and 27mm working apertures with various lengths for both lumbar and cervical procedures. They are made of titanium, and are partially radiolucent. The ports come with both equal length blades and offset blades which allow the ports to rest firmly on bone. By doing this, muscle creep is kept to a minimum and the surgeon has more visibility and room to work.
