Relax Retractors C-Ax Cervical Retractor System

“Better for the surgeon and better for the patients”

The C-Ax Hybrid incorporates a unique principle in retractor design “Bone fixation with Rotation”.

The C-Ax Hybrid uses multiple size frames and a midspar that are secured to the bone with distraction screws.  Once the Raydel blades snap into place on the frame, the retractors are stable but the side blades can still rotate to retract or relax and thus provide the ideal amount of retraction. The bone fixation makes the frame very stable avoiding need for retractor adjustment while allowing surgery to be carried out through the frame. The surgeon can take advantage of rotating blades for more oblique angles to help during decompressive surgery.   The C-Ax Hybrid can accommodate any single or double level anterior cervical plate inside the frame and allows the surgeon to use the blades to assist in inserting screws at a variety of angles.

The C-Ax hybrid is kinder to the soft tissues. There is less injury to the longus colli muscle and the system has the unique ability to allow the tissues to rest without losing position. Published design, cadaveric and in press clinical studies show the system produces significantly reduced pressure on sensitive medial structures.

Relax_Retractors_Curvy

Relax Retractors Curvy™ Anterior Lumbar Retractor System

The Lumbar Curvy™ Retractor is designed to make anterior lumbar surgery safer, smaller, simpler and more stable. The bone-fixed blades are designed to protect the blood vessels and retract soft tissue. Curvy features include making things safer where it matters, 4/5 on the right 5/1 on the left. Continuous curved surfaces retract vessels smoothly, reducing risk of vessel injury or thrombosis, and preventing vein bulging into the field. Curvy blades are compressed to the vertebral body by strong threaded screws or smooth trocar pins. Unique open blades with open cannulation points make screw or pin positioning easier and safer. Curvy Blades will work with screws or pins alone, but for larger patients, ring fixation provides added stability. Conforming to the spine in two planes improves stability, therefore table mounting is not necessary. Curvy left and right blades are compatible with all existing systems.

Cardinal_Health_Shadow-Line

Cardinal Health Shadow-Line® Cervical Retractor System

The Shadow-Line® Cervical Retractor System includes radiolucent aluminium longitudinal and transverse retractor frames for effective tissue and muscle retraction and operating site visualisation. Its retractor frames are double hinged to fully articulate around the contour of all patient anatomies. Its versatile blade engagement design allows for a multitude of spine surgical procedures by combining available sharp and multi-tooth hooks as well as blunt and toothed blades. Each retractor frame also incorporates suture holes at the blade connection points to minimise potential retractor frame migration from the surgical incision.

Cardinal_Health_McColloch

Cardinal Health McColloch® Lumbar Retractor System

The McColloch Retractor is designed to optimise visualisation of the anatomy when performing posterior lumbar procedures while reducing post-operative pain and trauma. The McCulloch Lumbar Retractor System combines a unique mix of colour coded blade designs that enhances both direct visualisation and intraoperative imaging of the spinal anatomy. The hinged retractor body conforms to the patient’s anatomy, offering minimal obstruction to the operating interval between microscope and operative site.
